While singing about God’s grace is great, experiencing God’s grace is the best.

APPLICATION

Be sure you know God’s grace by not just acknowledging but embracing it.

FOCUS

It’s one thing to look at vacation brochures, it’s another thing to go to a destination & experience all it is & has to offer. While a picture can be worth a thousand words, experientially engaging with who or what’s in the picture sometimes finds you finding words just aren’t enough :-) …

As we consider “the awesome wonder & reality of God’s amazing grace,” we do so hopefully aware of our experience with God through the grace He gives. While it’s heartbreaking to know there will be many people who in this life sang “Amazing Grace” perhaps dozens or hundreds of times who won’t be in heaven, we can & must elevate & celebrate its reality so as many as possible who can will know.

God’s Grace …

1. needs to be embraced.

It’s that simple, significant & sure.

John 1:1 & 14 / Ephesians 2:8-9

2. is the basis of our salvation, sanctification, security & success.

God’s grace received here & now changes here & now & there & forever.

Titus 2:11-14 / Ephesians 2:10

Making It Real

1] When did God’s amazing grace become God’s saving grace to you?

2] Are you truly experiencing the entirety of what this passage of scripture says?

Action Step

If you’re sure you’ve experienced God’s amazing grace in all of its life-giving & purifying power, write out a prayer of celebration. If you’re not sure you’ve truly embraced God’s grace, write out a prayer asking Him to make you His own.
